LOSER: DEFENSE IN FIRST QUARTER

As I mentioned on the first slide, it looked like the Packers were going to run away with this one early on, scoring on both of their possessions in the first quarter and getting off to a quick 14-0 lead. The defense didn’t look intimidating whatsoever in the first quarter and put the Mahomes-less Chiefs in a hole early on.

LOSER: DEFENSE IN FOURTH QUARTER

After the first quarter, the defense settled in and actually played well through the end of the third quarter. Then, the same defense we saw in the first quarter resurfaced in the fourth quarter, allowing Green Bay to score two touchdowns and ice the game.

The defense held its own throughout most of the game, but the mistakes in the fourth quarter cost them when push came to shove.
