If the Kansas City Chiefs stand pat at deadline, perhaps it’s an organization looking at a bigger picture more so than fishing for a player simply for today.

Understand, the Chiefs don’t HAVE to make a move at the deadline.

No, the Chiefs should not have made a move for Jalen Ramsey at the price the Rams paid (and yes, the Chiefs would have needed to pay more than the Rams). The Chiefs have big decisions to make and will have some tough choices to make.

If Kansas City does opt to make a trade, it’s an indication they intend to rebuild or reload over the next couple of seasons while they enjoy this season in the sun before they have to make tough choices and let players go with the hope of contending again in 2021 in 2022.

Regardless, enjoy Patrick Mahomes because when he’s on the field, the Kansas City Chiefs will alway have a chance.
