LOSER: INJURY TO PATRICK MAHOMES

Obviously an injury can’t be a loser, but you get the idea. This was a scary moment for Chiefs fans, as Mahomes did the quarterback sneak on a fourth and one, got the conversion, and then was writhing in pain. It looked bad, but early reports don’t seem like this is anything to full on panic about.

Losing a player like Mahomes for any amount of time is never a good thing, so that’s why this is clearly a loss in this game. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery and will be able to return at some point this season.

LOSER: RUN GAME

Somehow in a game where the reigning MVP was injured, the Chiefs still didn’t turn to their run game. They rushed the ball 27 times for 80 yards, with LeSean McCoy gaining 64 of those yards. Twenty-two of those yards came on one long run by Shady.

If Mahomes misses an extended period of time, the run game has to be more utilized to help out Matt Moore, especially against the tougher teams coming to town over the next two weeks.
