Kansas City Royals: Offseason trade targets from NL East

New York Mets
Adonis Uceta, RHP Relief Pitcher
Adonis Uceta, the 25-year-old righty reliever, had a strong 2019 season at AA, but struggled in his two appearances at AAA.
Uceta pitched 56.1 innings of 1.44 ERA, 1.030 WHIP, with 55 Ks in AA. Over 385.0 career minor league innings, Uceta has produced a 3.34 ERA, 1.244, and 356 Ks. Since being moved to a bullpen role full-time, Uceta has seen his numbers improve.
Uceta is Rule 5 draft eligible this offseason and isn’t likely to be added to the Mets 40-man roster. Since moving to the bullpen, Uceta has been able to unleash his plus fastball (mid-to-high-90s) that he pairs well with an above-average changeup (low-to-mid 80s). He also throws a below-average slider to complete his arsenal.
Uceta projects to be an average middle relief option should the Royals go this route and target him in a trade.
