Sit of the Week: Chiefs Running Backs

. Running Back. Kansas City Chiefs. Chiefs Running Backs. 1. player. 124

Okay, so here is where we go mirror images. I feel confident in the Broncos running backs being very productive. The Chiefs backs? Well I am confident one of them will have a good game. Maybe? Probably? Who that will be is going to be hard to figure out, though.

Last week, no Chiefs running back went over ten points. Damien Williams caught a touchdown pass, but was still only had right around nine points. Darrell Williams and LeSean McCoy both had big plays, but nothing past that and only ended with around six points a piece.

The problem for the stable of Chiefs backs is that one of them could have a BIG night, leaving the other two worthless. It is always hard in fantasy to sit a big name guy, but it is likely you could get five points or less from a guy who you are depending on. If at all possible, look elsewhere for running back help.

The Denver Broncos are ranked 12th in points given up to running backs. That isn’t a super juicy match-up, but it isn’t scary either. The biggest thing scaring me about the Chiefs running backs is the offensive line.

With Andrew Wylie and Eric Fisher still expected to be out, I don’t see this week being the one where the Chiefs jump start their rushing attack. If I HAD to pick a back to start, it appears Damien Williams could be the main pass catcher for the Chiefs, so I would roll with him if needed, but I would stray away from the other two until the line gets healthy for Kansas City.
