NOT REALLY EITHER OR: OFFENSIVE LINE

I wanted to list the offensive line in either category, but when looking at the final stats, nothing stood out enough to where I could merit it being a winner or a loser this week. This beat up unit only allowed one sack on Patrick Mahomes and only let him get hit twice. They didn’t let J.J. Watt get to Mahomes and that’s a win.

I’m not putting them in the winner section either though, as they haven’t opened up holes for this run game and also aren’t fully keeping Mahomes clean. When you have a special player like Mahomes at quarterback, priority number one needs to be protecting him and that has been an issue these past few weeks. He’s been hobbled as a result and not as prominent as a passer.

LOSER: ALL OF THE INJURIES

The injuries won’t stop! Kendall Fuller left the game with an injury and this Chiefs team is already beat up enough. It’s troubling that the team is going into a short week with an already banged up squad.

LOSER: SHORT WEEK AHEAD

The Chiefs don’t have much time to sulk over this loss, as they travel to Denver for a date with the Broncos on Thursday Night Football. With injuries aplenty and a struggling unit, this short week comes at the worst possible time for this Chiefs team.
