With the Houston Texans coming into Arrowhead Stadium, Chiefs new safety Tyrann Mathieu will get his chance to go against his team from the previous season.

After spending his first five seasons with the Cardinals, safety Tyrann Mathieu became a free agent after being released by the team that drafted him. He then signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans on a “prove it” contract to show he still had what it took to be an elite player.

After his one season in Houston, Mathieu finished the season with the 89 total tackles, three sacks, and two interceptions. After completing his one season in Houston, he then made his way to Kansas City on a three-year deal to play with the Chiefs where he now continues to lead a rebuilt defense.

How will the Honey Badger play against his old team? Will the Texans try to go after Mathieu at times to sort of stick it to him for leaving? Or will he continue to lead the way on the Chiefs defense?

Every week seems to bring us a new face to come out of a Chiefs game with impressive numbers; Week five gave us Byron Pringle.

Although the Chiefs did not come out of the previous game with a victory, they did come out with a player that continues to impress. Byron Pringle is a player who is stepping up when his number has been called upon.

With Tyreek Hill still out due to injury and Sammy Watkins finding himself sidelined with a new injury, the Chiefs have asked second year man out of K-State to step up and do what they ask of him.

More. Byron Pringle could play bigger role in offense moving forward. light

Pringle was the only Chiefs skill player to put points on the board in week five against the Colts and it came on impressive scamper and toss by Mahomes. Not only did he answer the call in week five, he was the man who made a game saving catch in week four against the Lions that set up the late fourth quarter go ahead touchdown.

Over the last two games Pringle has seven receptions, 126 receiving yards, and a touchdown. Look for him to continue to make plays for the Chiefs moving forward with injuries mounting.
