The Chiefs must continue to address receiver depth, especially with multiple potential losses at the position this offseason.

After the 2019 season, the Chiefs offense faces the potential loss of starting receiver Demarcus Robinson to free agency and Sammy Watkins due to a massive salary cap number and likely opting to release him. That would leave Tyreek Hill, 2018 second round selection Mecole Hardman and a collection of unknown and unproven options.

If the Chiefs are going to continue to be an offensive focused team, they cannot ignore the skill position players.

Tylan Wallace of Oklahoma State has experience lining up on both sides of the OSU offense, running both short and long routes. With experience playing in a passing offense for three seasons, Wallace would likely be able to step in immediately as depth, competing with Byron Pringle for the third receiver option.

Recent history is littered with teams that, once they get a quarterback and a receiver or two, ignore the position, thinking they are ‘good to go’ only to realize their depth is terrible. The Packers of recent memory come to mind.

The Chiefs must continue to restock and reload their playmakers to ensure they have playmakers for Mahomes to throw to and Tylan Wallace fits the mold perfectly.
