2020 Rotation Prediction

  1. Brad Keller
  2. Mike Montgomery
  3. Jakob Junis
  4. Brett Anderson (free agent)
  5. Jonathan Loaisiga (trade) or Jose De Leon (trade)

Bullpen

  • Daniel Hudson (free agent) – Closer
  • Arodys Vizcaino (free agent) – 8th inning or later
  • Scott Barlow – 7th inning or later
  • Francis Martes (trade) – after 80 game suspension
  • Domingo Acevedo (trade/minor league free agent)
  • Jesse Hahn (middle/late relief)
  • Tim Hill (specialist/middle relief)
  • Josh Staumont (middle relief)
  • Jorge Lopez or Gabe Speier (long relief)

Look for the Royals to rebuild their bullpen and back-half of their rotation this offseason with trade acquisitions, free agency, and giving players a chance to develop. Danny Duffy and Ian Kennedy and their remaining contracts may be moved this offseason to open up roster spots for the proposed acquisitions.
