On Sunday, the 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs roll into the Motor City to take on the Detroit Lions, who are 2-0-1 after defeating the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles in consecutive weeks.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ week four opponent, the Detroit Lions, tied with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, 24-24, before beating the Chargers, 13-10, and the Eagles ,27-24. In the past two weeks, the defense has limited two solid quarterbacks, Philip Rivers and Carson Wentz, into passing for less than 300 yards.

Of course, the Kansas City Chiefs offense is a completely different animal than that of the Chargers and Eagles. Still, this isn’t a game to take lightly, as the Lions are coached by Matt Patricia, the former defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots under Bill Belichick, the one man in the league who’s 2-0 against Patrick Mahomes.

To get to know the Detroit Lions better before this Sunday’s game, I’ve reached out to Bob Heyrman, the site expect for FanSided’s local Detroit website, Detroit Jock City.

Definitely check out DJC for articles on not only the Lions but also the Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings (a team that, as a Blues fan, I hated for years on end until last season, for reasons), and the local colleges up there, like the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans, to name just two.

Big thanks to Bob for taking the time to answer my questions. Here’s what he had to say about the currently undefeated Detroit Lions.
