Start of the Week – Davante Adams

Davante Adams. 1. player. 49. . Wide Receiver. Green Bay Packers

Normally, this guy wouldn’t make this column due to his explosive abilities, but his first three weeks have made it seem like Adams is one of this year’s biggest first round bust. Don’t jump ship yet, better days are ahead.

In his first three weeks he has faced Chicago’s historically good defense, Xaiver Rhodes of the Vikings, and Chris Harris Jr. of the Broncos. Those are three of the toughest match-ups for a wideout in the NFL.

Adams will now face a Philadelphia team that gave up 23.5 PPR points to Terry McLaurin in week one, over 62 combined PPR points between Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley in week two, and got pounded by Marvin Jones Jr. in week three with 22.1 PPR points.

This should be a delightful week four match-up, especially since Eagles top corner Ronald Darby should be sitting. Adams was number six overall for ESPN’s Matthew Berry entering the season. So far, Adams has totaled 34.8 total PPR points this year. That is behind Cole Beasley and Jamison Crowder.

To put it into perspective, Mike Evans had 45 PPR points, just last week alone. If you own him, you probably paid up for him in the mid-first and you aren’t alone. This is the week that Davante Adams lives up to that high price tag. He will burn Philly for over 100 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

Hold tight, don’t trade him just yet, as this is his week for fantasy glory.
