Thursday Night Football takes us to Lambeau Field for a battle between the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles. Who should you start and who should you sit in fantasy football for this Thursday night match-up?

Philly and Green Bay? Philly and Green Bay. Thursday Night Football just got a lot more interesting. In arguably the best Thursday night game of the year, fantasy football implications are sky-high. Aaron Rodgers and Carson Wentz in Lambeau Field will be fun to watch no matter what, but should you start one of them to make it even more entertaining? Let’s take a look.

The Eagles are coming off an especially weird loss to the overachieving Detroit Lions in week three. They are banged up, with guys who sat last week like Alshon Jeffery, but it was nonetheless a surprise.

The mood is a little lighter in Green Bay, where the Packers are off to an undefeated start behind a stout defense. These two teams colliding in week four is fascinating.

Philadelphia is soul searching right about now, and while it’s way to early to panic, they could use a big win on Thursday night to lift their spirits. Knowing this, I suspect Jeffery will take the field on Thursday after being ruled out last week and coach Dough Peterson is “optimistic.”

What is concerning for the Eagles, however, is that Ronald Darby is expected to miss a few games. We will explore the fantasy impact of that later. First, let’s take a look at my predictions for Thursday night in week two.

  • Start of the Week:D.J. Moore had 17.9 PPR points against the Bucs. That’s a win.
  • Sit of the Week: Jamies Winston had a better week than I anticipated in real football, but in fantasy, I was on again as he only had 13.9 points. That’s another win.
  • Start: Curtis Samuel – 14.3 PPR points. Win.
  • Start: Cam Newton – 11.3 points. Big Loss.
  • Start: O.J. Howard – Disappeared with zero points. Even bigger loss.
  • Start: Panthers D/ST – 7 points. That was middle of the pack.
  • Sit: Buccaneers D/ST – 7 points. Loss.
  • Sit: Tampa Bay Running Backs – Ronald Jones had 0.9 PPR points and Peyton Barber had a surprising 15.9. I whiffed on Barber, but got Jones correct.
  • Sit: Greg Olsen – 17 PPR points. Another loss.
