3-0 or three in a row. No matter how you cut it, your KC Chiefs are still undefeated and looked good doing so. The Chiefs continued their streak of scoring 26 or more points in a game.

The last time a Patrick Mahomes led team scored less than 26 points was at Texas Tech against Iowa State back in 2016, almost three years ago.  All he does is score a ton of points everywhere he goes and the Ravens have a great defense too.

With all that being said, this was a fun game for any football fan. Here’s what we learned about the Kansas City Chiefs in their 33-28 victory over a playoff contender.

Only overmatched teams gamble

The Baltimore Ravens gambled quite a bit by going for it on fourth down and trying for two-point conversions a lot. The Chiefs would get a few third-down stops but if it was anything less than four yards to go, the Ravens went for it on fourth down.

The Ravens also went for two-point conversions three times and failed on all three attempts.  These are signs of a team that knows they are overmatched and needs any advantage they can get.

If any of those fourth-down attempts fail, the Ravens would have been digging themselves out of an even bigger hole.  If they work, awesome but you are playing with fire. As Dan Fouts said on the broadcast, “the Ravens are playing defense with their offense”.

John Harbaugh knows that the Chiefs can put up points in a hurry if given the chance. His team has to do what they can to limit the damage if they want to have a chance against this team.
