10 Dislikes from the Kansas City Chiefs Win Over the Baltimore Ravens

1. Watkins’ Fumble

Thankfully, Hardman recovered this, and it didn’t end up hurting the Chiefs in the end. Better hanging on to the football, please, Sammy.

2. Hitchens Looking Gassed

On Mark Ingram II’s second rushing touchdown of the game, which made things 23-13, Anthony Hitchens looked completely gassed as he made a minimal (if that) effort to catch up with the running back.

3. The Offense’s First Quarter

Last year, the Chiefs offense rocked it in the first quarter, especially opening drives, a topic that will come up shortly. But now in consecutive games, the offense has failed to put up a point in the first quarter. Maybe that’s all prelude to tearing it up in the second quarter, but it’s also something to keep an eye on as the season progresses.

4. Butker’s Missed Extra Point

It left the door open for Baltimore, one they which attempted busting. Listen, I know kickers aren’t going to make every single kick, but against a solid opponent like the Ravens, the extra-point has to be made.

5. The Botched 4th-Down Snap

On Kansas City’s first drive of the second half, Andy Reid decided to beat John Harbaugh at his own game of Russian Roulette. It didn’t work: due to, I presume, the rain, Mahomes couldn’t handle the snap, dropped it, and then recovered it as he got manhandled. Regardless, this play enabled the Ravens to take over just 57 yards from the end zone in a 10-point game.

Thankfully, the defense immediately forced a three-and-out.
