For the third straight season, the Kansas City Chiefs begin their regular season 3-0 after defeating the Baltimore Ravens in Arrowhead Stadium for the second consecutive year, this time prevailing 33-28.

And just like last week, here are my 10 likes and 10 dislikes about the Kansas City Chiefs‘ most recent game, starting with the positives.

10 Likes About the Kansas City Chiefs Win Over the Baltimore Ravens

1. Second-Quarter Offensive Burst

As they did against the Oakland Raiders last week, the Kansas City Chiefs offense had a huge burst in the second quarter, outscoring the Ravens 23-0. In the last two second quarters, the Chiefs have outscored their opponents 51-0.

2. Three 2-Point Conversion Stops

The ending of this game would’ve looked entirely different had the Chiefs defense not stepped up so well immediately after allowing touchdowns. Three times the Ravens went for two (including taking off the extra point once), and three times the Chiefs defense turned them away.

3. The Kelce Safety Net

Travis Kelce caught seven of the eight passes thrown his way, finishing with 89 yards receiving. His biggest grab went for 21 yards. He didn’t score a touchdown. Yet his presence was felt throughout the game. Early, before the Legion of Zoom got going, Patrick Mahomes established his connection to the big fella, and that served the Chiefs well throughout the day.

4. The Defense’s Second Quarter

Lost in the hoopla about how well the Chiefs’ offense has been playing in the second quarter is how well the defense has been performing. After giving up a touchdown on the Ravens’ first drive of the game, the Chiefs forced the Ravens to turn it over on downs and punt it twice in the second quarter, stymieing an offense that scored 59 points two weeks ago.

5. Demarcus Robinson‘s Touchdown Catch

One-handed in the corner of the end zone over former Chief Brandon Carr. Beautiful. It put the Chiefs up 14-6 after the PAT.
