It’s Jacksonville vs Tennessee for Thursday Night Football in week three! Who should you start and who should you sit in fantasy football this week?

All men were created equal. Not all football games where though, and that is where we find ourselves heading into the week three match up between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans.

If I were giving strong advice, I would say to just avoid players in this game all together. The only reliable players from either side are Leonard Fournette and Derrick Henry. Even then, I am not super confident that both players will produce.

The truth is, if they get a touchdown, they will have a good week. If not? Well, you will probably be disappointed.

That isn’t what this column is about, however. I can’t just tell you to sit everyone and call it a day. Some of you may be forced to play some players in this game because of injuries or depth issues on your team. That is fine. So I am going to try to highlight which players have the best chance outside of Derrick Henry and Leonard Fournette to be fantasy relevant this week.

Before we get started, I am going to self scout myself, which I will do every week. I alternate weeks here on the Thursday Night Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em column, so my last advice came for the Thursday Night opener between the Bears and Packers. My start of the week? David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen. I was right about Cohen, but woefully wrong about Montgomery.

I knew Green Bay’s defense would be improved, but I didn’t know Mitch Trubisky was going to go old school on us and throw like the Staley’s did in the first ever Bears-Packers game. Who are the Staley’s you ask? They were the Bears previous nickname. Can you guess how many pass attempts they had all the way back in 1921 in the first Bears-Packers showdown? Zero, or the amount of times Matt Nagy should let Mitch throw the ball moving forward. ( I did have Trubisky in my Sit of the Week though, so maybe I saw it coming just a little bit.)

Another thing I got wrong was sitting Jimmy Graham. I said “and now that I said Sit ‘Em, Graham will go off and I will be punished by the Fantasy God’s” Well, Graham caught the games only touchdown. Sigh. What can you do? Moving on, another elder of the tight end has a chance to burn me on my prediction this week. Before we get to that, let’s dive right in to my start of the week.
