One week of fantasy football is in the books and now we move onto the second week of action! Hopefully you’re starting out 1-0, but if not, there’s plenty of time to right the ship.

The first month of fantasy football can be tricky because we’re not sure of what some of these players can do yet or what their roles might be. I always advise to give the season about four weeks before you decide to drop someone or not (unless they’re not a big name), just to see if maybe they’ll snap out of their slump.

Before we immerse ourselves with the week two Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em options, let’s see how well I fared in the opening week of games. Here were my Start ‘Em candidates in week one:

  • Lamar Jackson – Five touchdown passes for Jackson, good for 33.6 fantasy points.
  • Austin Ekeler – Dominant in the receiving game, totaled 39.4 fantasy points
  • Kenny Golladay – Not the receiving threat fantasy owners hoped, but still had 14.2 points.
  • Darren Waller – Emerging tight end had 14 fantasy points in week one.
  • Seattle D/ST – Only seven points for the Seahawks defensive unit.

Here were my Sit ‘Em candidates:

  • Matt Ryan – Falcons were down 28-0 at one point and Ryan finished with 18.6 points.
  • Derrick Henry – Missed here, as Henry dominated; Racked up 28.9 points.
  • T.Y. Hilton – Missed here as well; Hilton totaled 28.7 fantasy points.
  • Greg Olsen – Only amassed 7.6 points for anyone who took a gamble on him.
  • Houston D/ST – Looked like the Texans might surprise early on, but finished with -4 points.

Overall, I feel like I did well in my week one suggestions. How will I fare in week two? Let’s take a look!
