WHAT TO WATCH VS JAGUARS

Running Back by Committee

Damien Williams, LeSean McCoy, Darwin Thompson, and Darrel Williams will all be in line for touches. With Damien Williams still being pegged as the starting back for the Chiefs, you can expect him to get the bulk of carries and the rest to touch the ball at least once throughout the game.

With LeSean McCoy just now joining the team, the Chiefs may give him less opportunities week one in order to catch up with Andy Reid’s playbook.

Damien Williams has only served as the starting back seven times during his NFL career and has yet to amount over 50 touches in a season. It will be interesting to see how touches play out in the backfield with with the Chiefs reuniting with LeSean McCoy, standout rookie Darwin Thompson, and second-year player Darrel Williams.

Each player may carve out their own role for certain situations, but they can produce in all phases of the game whether it be catching a pass out of the backfield or running up the middle. Keep an eye on the snap count for these running back to get an idea of who will be seeing the field more than others.
