The 2019 regular season has finally arrived and the KC Chiefs open up week one with a road trip to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars. The final roster has been set and players are ready to get going.

Kansas City will be looking to start their season off on a positive note and get back on track to getting to the AFC Championship game once again. The Kansas City Chiefs’ schedule is ranked inside the top five this season per CBS Sports. Winning on the road against teams inside the AFC can only help your seeding as you may have common opponents playing the same teams.

With that being said, here are some things to watch for in the season opener.

WHAT TO WATCH VS JAGUARS

Tyreek Hill vs. Jalen Ramsey

Top wide receiver verse top cornerback and an ongoing feud between two elite players. The Jaguars top cornerback will get another chance to cover the Chiefs All-Pro “Return Specialist” for the second consecutive season. Tyreek Hill and Jalen Ramsey were taken in the 2016 NFL Draft and will be meeting for the third time since entering the league.

Both Hill and Ramsey have traits that balance out against one another. The case for Hill is his speed and route running abilities. His quick steps and jumps off the snap have allowed him to get past Ramsey in the past so look for him to build off of that.

Jalen Ramsey, on the other hand, has his size and physicality to play against Hill. Standing at 6’1” and 208 pounds to Hill’s 5’10”, 185 pound frame, Ramsey will be able to control Hill if he can keep up with him and cut off his routes and keep him from tracking the ball.

It has been a fun battle to watch play out previously and don’t expect this match-up to disappoint this year. With both players only getting better each year, you can count on plenty of smack talk and physical play between the two players.
