START ‘EM – RB

Austin Ekeler. 3. player. 13. . Running Back. Chargers

As long as Melvin Gordon is holding out, Austin Ekeler is a nice option to have for fantasy football purposes. He filled in nicely for whenever Gordon was injured last year and will be handling the starting duties there until further notice.

Ekeler isn’t quite the threat that Gordon is, but he’ll be utilized in a variety of ways. His ability to make plays as a runner and catching passes makes him an obvious play for week one.

SIT ‘EM – RB

Derrick Henry. 4. player. 35. . Running Back. Titans

Derrick Henry has been banged up this summer, but even if he were fully healthy, this isn’t a match-up that fares well for him. With the Browns’ defensive front looking pretty good and the Titans’ lack of weapons (and poor quarterback play to boot), Henry might be in for a rough opening weekend.

It’s also worth noting that the Browns appear to have more firepower this year on offense, so Tennessee might have to abandon the run in the second half if Cleveland is as explosive on offense as advertised.

Keep Henry on the bench in week one.
