RANKING QUARTERBACKS ON CHIEFS SCHEDULE

NUMBER 7 – NICK FOLES

These middle tier quarterbacks could probably go in any order, it really is just a matter of opinion. To me, Nick Foles is a better quarterback than Jackson or Trubisky, but that doesn’t mean he’s anywhere close to being the toughest signal caller the Chiefs will face in 2019.

Before he won a Super Bowl with the Eagles, Foles was handling backup quarterback duties in Kansas City. Andy Reid had drafted him in Philadelphia in 2012 and Foles ended up with the Rams for a year before landing with the Chiefs for a season.

Then he wound up back in Philadelphia, where he won the Super Bowl as the backup who had to step in and take charge. The Eagles decided to stick with Carson Wentz moving forward (which was probably the right decision), but the Jaguars paid Foles handsomely this offseason to be their new quarterback.

Foles is a tough player to peg. He became a backup for years due to his declining play, but when he was with the Eagles these past few years, he was en fuego. He threw for 1,413 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions last year in five starts, but his playoff performances were the most impressive thing about him and you know, the fact that he led the Eagles to a Super Bowl title two years ago.

The Chiefs face Foles and the Jags in week one, so it’s hard to say which Foles will show up at that point. Eighth on this list seems appropriate though.
