RANKING QUARTERBACKS ON CHIEFS SCHEDULE

NUMBER 10 – DEREK CARR

I’ve always been on the “Derek Carr is overrated” train and that’s something I took tremendous pride in after 2016 when everyone was calling him the next great quarterback in the NFL.

How quickly Carr fell from grace after that prolific season, as trade talks have emerged since the end of the 2018 season. He hasn’t been in the most stable organization, but people jumped the gun way too soon on Carr.

That being said, last season saw Carr throw for the most yards in his career (4,049), but he tossed for 19 touchdowns and ten interceptions while being sacked a career-high 51 times. Part of what made Carr so good in that 2016 season was that his offensive line was incredible and he went untouched in most of his games that year.

Chiefs fans aren’t afraid of Carr at all, nor should they be. Simply put – Derek Carr sucks against the Chiefs, especially at Arrowhead Stadium. He’s only beaten Kansas City twice during his career, both times coming in the Black Hole and on Thursday Night Football, where the visiting team is at a huge disadvantage. Carr is 0-5 at Arrowhead.

So yeah, Carr sitting as the third worst quarterback on the Chiefs’ schedule sounds about right.
