RANKING QUARTERBACKS ON CHIEFS SCHEDULE

NUMBER 11 – JOE FLACCO

It bodes well for the Chiefs that one of the worst quarterbacks on their schedule this year is one that they’ll play twice. Joe Flacco joined the Broncos this offseason when he was traded from Baltimore and he’ll play mentor to rookie Drew Lock.

Flacco isn’t a bad quarterback by any means, but his better days are certainly behind him. He’s won a Super Bowl and used to be quite the quarterback in the playoffs back in the day, but it’s not 2012 anymore. He’s 34 years old and was traded for a reason.

Last season saw Flacco throw for 2,465 yards, 12 touchdowns, and six interceptions through nine starts. In Flacco’s defense, he wasn’t benched because he was playing poorly. He was initially injured, but then never saw the field again once then-rookie Lamar Jackson showed what he had to offer as a quarterback.

The Broncos might not be as bad as everyone seems to think they’ll be, but if they go anywhere, it’ll be because of their defense. Flacco shouldn’t instill fear in anyone and the Chiefs have had Denver’s number the past three seasons, sweeping them in each of those three seasons.
