RANKING QUARTERBACKS ON CHIEFS SCHEDULE

NUMBER 3 – DESHAUN WATSON

Deshaun Watson took the league by storm as a rookie in 2017 and had Chiefs fans cursing under their breath that they might have passed up on him in favor of future MVP Patrick Mahomes. Obviously we all know things worked out pretty well for the KC Chiefs in those regards.

Watson was healthy for all of 2018, unlike his rookie year, but he definitely took a beating behind that Texans offensive line, where he was sacked a whopping 62 times. He still managed to throw for 4,165 yards, 26 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while adding 551 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

Watson’s ability to run is what makes him a dangerous quarterback on the Chiefs schedule this year. When he has protection, he’s a damn good quarterback.

The Chiefs will have their work cut out against Deshaun Watson this year and we all know the main storyline in this game is going to be that he and Mahomes were in the same draft class and the Chiefs passed on Watson to take MVP Mahomes.

I’ll take the over on it being mentioned at least five times.
