The Kansas City Chiefs will face some tough quarterbacks in 2019. Let’s rank every single quarterback on the Chiefs schedule this year.

Quarterback is the most important position in all of football, so it’s only fair that when the Kansas City Chiefs are about to face a certain team, that a lot of the emphasis is put on the quarterback in which they’ll be facing. Is he good or is he blah? That tells you a lot about a team.

To continue getting us through the grind of the offseason, let’s take a look at every quarterback on the KC Chiefs’ 2019 schedule and rank them from worst to first, starting with the least scariest guy under center on the schedule.

RANKING QUARTERBACKS ON CHIEFS SCHEDULE

NUMBER 13 – MARCUS MARIOTA

First thing’s first, let’s get the jokes out of the way. Yes, Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans beat the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in the AFC Wild Card round in the 2017 season.

While Mariota was the winning quarterback in that embarrassing game, the Titans won it by constantly handing the ball off to Derrick Henry, who ran the ball down the Chiefs’ throats. Now let’s never speak of that game again.

All of that being said, Mariota is the weakest quarterback on the schedule, which is too bad because the Titans are a promising team otherwise. Their defense is solid, their run game is great (as showcased against the Chiefs), and overall they have a lot of potential. They also have the Chiefs’ number throughout the last decade or so.

Mariota, however, has not looked anything like being the second overall pick in the draft. Last year he threw for 2,528 yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 14 games. Injuries have derailed Mariota’s career, but when it comes down to it, the guy has just been a major disappointment.

His ability to scramble could be problematic for Kansas City when the two teams meet up in week ten, but if he’s forced to throw the football, the Chiefs should be able to defeat him.

This is assuming, of course, that Mariota even starts when the two teams play each other. They did acquire Ryan Tannehill this offseason, but he’d also sit in or near the bottom spot on these rankings. Neither of the Titans quarterbacks should terrify Chiefs Kingdom.
