The Mizzou football team kicks off their 2019 campaign this weekend with a road game in Laramie, Wyoming. As far as season-opening non-conference games go, this is no cakewalk for the Tigers.

Led by head coach Craig Bohl, the Wyoming Cowboys are not to be taken lightly, especially at War Memorial Stadium, which sits at more 7,000 feet above sea-level, the highest stadium in the FBS. Still, the Missouri Tigers, entering year four under head coach Barry Odom, should depart Saturday’s match-up with a victory.

It’s once conference play begins that the truly tough games arrive for the Tigers.

Luckily for Missouri, the SEC doesn’t (yet) require members to play nine conference games, so the Tigers still play four non-conference games. This year, those games are against Wyoming, the West Virginia Mountaineers, the Southeast Missouri Southeast Missourians*, and the Troy Trojans.

*Or, if you insist, the Redhawks.

After the game against Troy, the Tigers play seven straight conference games between October 12th and November 29th, starting with the Ole Miss Rebels and concluding with the Arkansas Razorbacks. (For some reason, Missouri’s first conference game takes place before the Troy game.)

In that stretch of time, the Missouri Tigers will take on their three toughest opponents of the season. Let’s take a look at those games.
