The 2018 Kansas City Chiefs were a great football team. Well, maybe a great 2/3 of a football team. Offense? Record breaking. Dazzling. Unstoppable. Special Teams? Sturdy. Reliable. Consistent. The Defense? Um, well, they were there too. Sometimes. At least the pass rush was good, right?

Even though the offense turned in performances that won’t soon be forgotten, the most memorable aspect of the 2018 season was the defense. Just one more stop, and the Kansas City Chiefs would’ve made a trip to the Super Bowl.

Just one more stop, and Patrick Mahomes would have been able to bring his “Showtime” energy to the biggest stage in all of professional sports.  Every Chiefs fan couldn’t help but wonder what if the Chiefs had just one more stop.

It isn’t 2018 anymore, though. It is 2019. We are less than two weeks away from live action, honest to goodness, slobber knocking football. That is why it is the perfect time to make some bold predictions. And what better place to get a little bold than on the defensive side of the ball?

Here, I am going to make three bold predictions. Each prediction will be bolder than the last, and they will snowball off of each other. That means if prediction one comes true, the likelihood of prediction two coming true increases. The same goes for predictions two and three.

With that being said, let’s roll right into it with my man Stone Cold.
