FANTASY FOOTBALL DEEP SLEEPERS TO TARGET IN 2019
11. Darrel Williams, RB Kansas City Chiefs
Darrel Williams could be a very deep fantasy sleeper for this season. Very deep as in it is pretty unlikely that he is drafted in most fantasy leagues. However, Williams is currently just setting back listening to everyone gush over Darwin Thompson and Damien Williams meanwhile knowing that he has the skill set to be the early-down back for Kansas City.
Andy Reid himself has said that the Chiefs will go with a running back by committee approach this season, so that should mean opportunities will be available early on and if he capitalizes it could pay off big time for him. The stars will have to align perfect for him, but the opportunity is there.

Damien Williams is a great talent but has been a career backup and it is well-known that his strength is in his pass-catching abilities. Damien Williams would be fine as the every-down back for the Chiefs, but Darrel Williams seems to have the perfect build and playing style to be a great early-down back with Thompson or Damien Williams as the pass catchers.
It will likely take some great performances early in the season and/or an injury to Damien Williams, but Darrel Williams is there waiting for his opportunity to take over in Kansas City. He is a better pure between the tackles runner than Damien Williams and has the burst that Carlos Hyde is lacking at this point in his career.
So at the very minimum have Darrel Williams on your waiver wire watch list because if the stars align he could do great as the starting running back in the best offense in football.
