FANTASY FOOTBALL DEEP SLEEPERS TO TARGET IN 2019

4. James Washington, WR Pittsburg Steelers

James Washington is going to get drafted higher than most of the other guys listed so far, but probably around rounds nine or ten so he can still be labeled as a sleeper just maybe not as deep of a sleeper as some of these other guys. Nevertheless, a ninth-round pick spent on Washington should prove to be a solid pick.

As discussed with JuJu Smith-Schuster my wide receiver rankings, Ben Roethlisberger throws the ball more often than any other quarterback in the league. This is how Smith-Schuster was able to have a top ten fantasy finish while playing behind Antonio Brown.

So now that Brown is gone and Smith-Schuster has taken over that role, who is going to fill Smith-Schuster’s former role? A lot of people think it’ll be Donte Moncrief, but Moncrief has shown us over his career that he doesn’t have enough upside to have a Smith-Schuster-like breakout.

Washington, however, while not quite as experienced may possess more talent and is still growing. Not only that, but he has been balling out in the preseason with 162 yards and a touchdown in his first two games.

He is going to have the opportunities with Roethlisberger at quarterback, so if his preseason success can translate into the regular season you’re looking at a severely undervalued fantasy option.
