FANTASY FOOTBALL WIDE RECEIVERS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 15 – STEFON DIGGS

2018 Standard Scoring: 12th (164.3)

2018 PPR Scoring: 10th (266.3)

Stefon Diggs is in a situation where he is definitely going to have to share some targets with another talented wide receiver, which will limit his upside a little but isn’t a huge concern. Diggs is locked into the WR2 range with nowhere to go but up.

This might be the year to grab Diggs though.

Last year he gained a lot of ground on his teammate Adam Thielen and, while most fantasy players will select Thielen ahead of Diggs, you could wait for a few more picks and take Diggs who could end up passing Thielen in the pecking order.

A little interesting tidbit in the Diggs vs Thielen discussion is that Diggs actually had more targets per game in 9.9 to Thielen’s 9.6. This isn’t a huge difference but is interesting considering Thielen is widely considered the better option.

It is also worth noting that both Diggs and Thielen ranked in the top eight in targets last season at the wide receiver position, so the floors on these guys are pretty high as long as they can stay healthy.

It is possible that Diggs goes in the third round, but if he lasts until the fourth round you would be wise to grab him as a WR2 with a high floor and even higher upside.
