FANTASY FOOTBALL WIDE RECEIVERS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 1 – DEANDRE HOPKINS

2018 Standard Scoring: 4th (218.6)

2018 PPR Scoring: 1st (333.5)

DeAndre Hopkins, the only offensive member of the coveted Madden 99 club, is the obvious pick as the top wide receiver overall. Hopkins is an absolute monster. He has only missed one game in his six-year career and catches everything thrown his way, I mean literally he catches everything, the man had zero drops last season.

Hopkins has only missed 1,000 yards twice and we won’t even get into some of the quarterbacks he has had to put up with in the past. His last two seasons include stat lines of 174 targets, 96 receptions, 1378 yards, 13 touchdowns in 2017 and 163 targets, 115 receptions, 1572 yards, and 11 touchdowns in 2018. Those are both very great statistical seasons.

Hopkins is as close as it gets to a guaranteed 100 receptions, 1,000 yards, and ten touchdowns. He has a very high floor and with Deshaun Watson very likely to improve this year, you have to think that Hopkins ceiling is even higher this year than last year.

He should be the first wide receiver off the board in every fantasy league and if you don’t have a top-five or six pick in your fantasy draft you are probably out of luck when it comes to drafting Hopkins, so sorry to the guys with picks in the bottom half of the first round.
