FANTASY FOOTBALL WIDE RECEIVERS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 2 – DAVANTE ADAMS

2018 Standard Scoring: 3rd (218.6)

2018 PPR Scoring: 2nd (329.6)

In a standard league, you might consider Hill over Davante Adams, but if you’re in a PPR league you might want to lean towards Adams, it almost becomes a toss-up at this point in the rankings. When it comes down to it you can’t really go wrong with any of the top three or four options, but here’s why Adams gets the second spot on this list.

The main reasons why Adams is ranked so high on this list is that he is a touchdown magnet and he has a great quarterback in Aaron Rogers passing to him. Adams has ten or more touchdowns in each of the last three seasons. When you can count on a touchdown almost every game (13 last year in 15 games) you’re going have a wide receiver with a pretty high floor.

Adams’ yards and reception numbers haven’t always been up to par with a top-ranked receiver, but he seemed to have fixed those concerns last year when he finally got a 1,000 yard season and also grabbed 111 receptions.

Any top option in an Aaron Rogers led offense is going to be a pretty solid fantasy option, but with Adams’ talent, he will be an elite fantasy option this year. After Hopkins is off the board, you won’t find a safer bet in round one as far as receivers go.
