FANTASY FOOTBALL WIDE RECEIVERS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 4 – JULIO JONES

2018 Standard Scoring: 5th (212.8)

2018 PPR Scoring: 4th (325.8)

Julio Jones seems like he has been at the top of the fantasy wide receiver rankings for forever and this year will be no exception. He has earned his spot at the top of this list from not only being consistent, but by being consistently great and he should stay high in the rankings until he proves us otherwise.

Over the past five seasons, Jones has missed just three games (including two straight 16-game seasons) and put up 1,400+ yards in each season. He also has 31 touchdowns over that same span, which isn’t terrible considering that is his one spot of “weakness.”

Despite how great he has been, this weakness has limited Jones to only one season of double-digit touchdowns in his career. This limits his upside a little (if you call a top-five wide receiver finish a limited upside).

Every season is a new season for everyone to think Jones should finally reach double-digit touchdowns again and if you happen to own him when that happens, you’re probably going to own the top fantasy wide receiver.

This year could be that year he finally gets over his touchdown slump and if so, you would be very lucky to own him and you might even bring home the fantasy title. Even if he does just stay around six or so touchdowns, with the yards he puts up and the high reception rate, he will still be worth a first-round selection.
