FANTASY FOOTBALL WIDE RECEIVERS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 5 – MICHAEL THOMAS

2018 Standard Scoring: 8th (190.5)

2018 PPR Scoring: 6th (315.5)

In PPR leagues this is definitely your guy, he has had ten more receptions than the next closest receiver last year. Michael Thomas is now coming into his fourth NFL season and should be expected to go nowhere but upwards this season.

Thomas is one of the best receivers in the league and plays within one of the best offenses in the football. The Chiefs, Rams, and Saints were the teams in the “best offense in football” conversations last year and there is no reason to believe it should be any different this season. So he should continue to have a great offense to aid in his production.

His career average of 107 receptions for 1,262 yards, and 7.7 touchdowns per season should be his floor this year. That is a very high floor, but for an elite young receiver that is still building towards his prime while playing in one of the best offenses in football, that is also a very realistic floor.

All signs point to Thomas having a very high ceiling as well and producing an even better season this year.

This is a guy who usually does a good job of staying on the field, only missing one game in his career so far. So unless you’re in a very running back-happy draft, Thomas likely won’t make it out of round one and he is a pretty safe bet even at his round one price tag.
