Fantasy Football: Top 15 Rookies to Target in 2019
FANTASY FOOTBALL ROOKIES TO TARGET IN 2019
NUMBER 8 – MECOLE HARDMAN, WIDE RECEIVER (CHIEFS)
Unlike last year, the Kansas City Chiefs actually have some impact rookies on offense, with Mecole Hardman being the most likely to stand out in year one. Hardman was drafted with a potential intent to replace another certain speedster on the Chiefs offense, but that situation has taken a different turn.
That being said, Hardman should still be able to get some decent production and fantasy points for those who take a flier on him. Even if he’s not on the field much as an offensive playmaker, he’ll still probably be a return man on special teams, which is where the majority of his fantasy points could stem from.
It’s hard to believe, however, that a speedy Chiefs receiver such as Mecole Hardman, wouldn’t do much with Patrick Mahomes throwing to him. Mahomes doesn’t discriminate when it comes to who he throws the ball to, so if Hardman is open, he will get the ball. His eight touchdowns for Georgia last year shows that if nothing else, he can find the end zone.
If you’re in a league with a lot of Chiefs fans, you might have to take Hardman a bit earlier than you’d like to, as some will probably be looking for him in the middle rounds. Otherwise, he’s a safe bet to be there near the end of the draft.
