FANTASY FOOTBALL ROOKIES TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 11 – DEEBO SAMUEL, WIDE RECEIVER (49ERS)

When looking at Deebo Samuel‘s numbers from last year, the biggest thing that jumps out is the touchdown total. Samuel caught 11 touchdown passes last year for the South Carolina Gamecocks and the hope is that he brings that red zone production with him to San Francisco.

The 49ers will have Jimmy Garoppolo back and healthy under center in 2019 and he’ll have Samuel to throw to along with Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis, who is heading into year two.

In other words, Samuel won’t be the go-to guy, but he will see his fair share of targets in the bay area. He never had a 1,000 yard season at South Carolina, but the touchdown total shows that he’s a reliable playmaker in the red zone and that kind of talent can’t go unnoticed.

As has been the case with the previous four entries, owners should be able to nab Deebo Samuel in the late rounds of the draft and not expect him to become a legitimate force on their team. At least not right away.
