FANTASY FOOTBALL ROOKIES TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 2 – DAVID MONTGOMERY, RUNNING BACK (BEARS)

Trading Jordan Howard couldn’t have been an easy decision, but at the same time, the Bears still have Tarik Cohen and now they’ll add draft pick David Montgomery out of Iowa State to their bag of tricks.

Montgomery is now the second member of Iowa State to be featured on my list of fantasy football rookies, which never seemed like something that would happen just a few years ago with where the program was at.

The Cyclone running back rushed for 1,216 yards and 13 touchdowns last year and will look to bring that magic to Chicago. While he’ll be second in command to Cohen, it’d be hard to imagine Matt Nagy not getting Montgomery involved in the offense early and often.

Montgomery can also be used in the receiving game, which makes him appealing in fantasy aspects as well. This is absolutely a player that can be targeted in the early to mid rounds of your draft.

Expect big things from David Montgomery this year. At least the biggest things one can expect from a backup rookie running back.
