Mizzou Football: Ranking every SEC quarterback on 2019 schedule
NUMBER 3 – FELEIPE FRANKS (FLORIDA)
Mizzou vs Florida – November 16th
In the same way that South Carolina has had Missouri’s number, Missouri has had Florida’s number. In fact, the Gators have been one of the Tigers’ few quality wins since Barry Odom took over the head coaching duties.
Feleipe Franks was a tough quarterback to rank because he’s so up and down with his play. At times, he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the conference, but other times, oof. He’s rough to watch.
Franks threw for 2,457 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions last year while adding 350 yards and seven touchdowns with his legs. Franks could be the second best player on this list, but due to his inconsistencies, he’s third.
NUMBER 2 – JARRETT GUARANTANO (TENNESSEE)
Mizzou vs Tennessee – November 23rd
Tennessee hasn’t had a great program the past few seasons, but Jarrett Guarantano gives the Volunteers hope as they head into 2019. He threw for 1,907 yards, 12 touchdowns, and three picks in 2018.
While not a runner, Guarantano showed that he can take care of the football (proven by his three picks last year) and if he plays as well as he did during his freshman year, he could potentially be one of the toughest quarterbacks Mizzou plays this year.
