FANTASY FOOTBALL RUNNING BACKS TO TARGET IN 2019
NUMBER 12 – PHILLIP LINDSAY
Undrafted out of Colorado in 2018, Phillip Lindsay not only made the Broncos roster last year, but he led the team in rushing by over 500 yards, yards from scrimmage by over 350 yards, and total touchdowns by five. Pretty good rookie season, especially when he only started half the games.
Lindsay should do even better in 2019 with a competent quarterback and head coach.
Now, Lindsay did have wrist surgery in the offseason, but he’ll be good to go for Denver’s opening week game against the Raiders. That injury shouldn’t scare you away from taking Lindsay. He’s clearly the team’s top running back, and should see his workload increase even more in his second year.
With Joe Flacco now under center, the passing game should improve. And with new head coach Vic Fangio, an old-school, defensive-minded head coach, pounding the rock will become even more of a priority.
With those new arrivals in Denver, Lindsay is poised to surpass his 1,037 rushing yards and 35 receptions for 241 yards that he accumulated in 2018. If he’s the team’s starter from the get-go, as he should be, he’ll also exceed the 10 touchdowns he scored.
