KC Chiefs trending up and trending down after preseason week 1
TRENDING UP
BLAKE BELL/DEON YELDER (TIGHT END)
With one of the more interesting position battles this offseason, both Blake Bell and Deon Yelder guys are making a final decision for the Chiefs difficult right out of the gate.
With the tight end group more important to Andy Reid, both these guys may play their way onto the final roster. Even though both had noticeable dropped passes in the game, they made up for it with plays prior to and after.
These pair of tight ends combined for a total of 69 yards on four receptions (nine total targets). Following these two the rest of the preseason will be fun with each trying to out due the other and earn that TE2 status behind Travis Kelce.
TANOH KPASSAGNON (DEFENSIVE END/LINEBACKER)
Tanoh Kpassagnon was a player many assumed prior to the season that the Chiefs may try to find a trade partner for or be released due to lack of fit and production. Kpassagnon has become a standout since day one of the new season and starting to show coaches and fans why he was selected so high in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Getting both defensive and special teams snaps, he is looking more comfortable in this new system and showing off his speed rushing down the passer and making plays. With his potential finally starting to show, Kpassagnon is looking more and more defensive mainstay for the Chiefs allowing him to get more field time.
