TRENDING UP

MECOLE HARDMAN (WIDE RECEIVER)

Mecole Hardman is going to be a problem for defenses this year and he came out early and showed why the Chiefs took him with their first pick in the 2019 Draft. Hardman opened his preseason with a 17-yard scamper on a shovel pass out of the backfield for a touchdown.

He continued to show his skills with a 44-yard kick return before being ran out of bounds. With quick feet and precise cuts, it is easy to see how he will be a weapon on this high powered offense this season.

With another level of speed, Mecole Hardman is only finding himself more opportunities this season.

DARWIN THOMPSON (RUNNING BACK)

“Dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge” is the first thing that comes to mind when talking about Darwin Thompson. When you watch his style of play you can’t help but think is it Darwin Thompson or Darren Sproles?

With a combination of speed and agility, Thompson is an exciting back to watch whether it be on a pass or a carry. Opening up his rookie season, he did not take a shortcut to showing his value to this team. Even on a short first carry, he showed his ability to make a quick jump cut outside and push forward for a small gain.

Building on his night, Thompson caught a quick slant route across the middle of the field from Chase Litton and quickly turned on the jets and take it into the end zone for a 29-yard touchdown reception. Thompson is taking his opportunity for touches and running his way to more snaps this season.
