FANTASY FOOTBALL QUARTERBACKS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 14 – TOM BRADY

As is the case with Philip Rivers, Tom Brady is another quarterback who “suffers” from strictly throwing the ball and not carrying it into the end zone. The difference with Brady, however, is that he’ll do the occasional quarterback sneak into the end zone, which Chiefs fans experienced last year when they played the Patriots in Foxboro.

Brady’s stock in fantasy football has also gone down the past few years due to the team’s emphasis on running the ball more. With Rob Gronkowski gone, Brady has one less mega-weapon to get the ball to, meaning the Patriots are probably going to run the ball even more in 2019.

Don’t get me wrong. Tom Brady is a terrific quarterback, but his time as a sure thing QB1 in fantasy football is coming to an end. He’s still a decent option if you opt to wait to grab a quarterback later in the draft, but otherwise, don’t count on him to put up big time numbers in fantasy leagues.

That’s just not the Patriots offensive way anymore… and clearly it’s working.
