FANTASY FOOTBALL QUARTERBACKS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 7 – DREW BREES

As strange as it is to see Drew Brees ranked outside the top five, the guy is 40 years old and led the New Orleans Saints to their best season in nearly a decade. As good as Brees was in 2018, the drop-off showed big time near the end of the season.

Brees was as solid as they come through the first two months of the season, but after the Saints lost to the Cowboys in November, his production never was quite the same. The Saints also had a much better defense this past year, which meant Brees didn’t have to carry the team like he had to in years past.

While Brees is obviously a great QB1 option, he’s not going to be one of the first three quarterbacks taken like he had been for so long. Assuming New Orleans’ defense is still top notch, Brees won’t have to do as much offensively, making him a less appealing fantasy football option.
