PLAYERS TO WATCH IN PRESEASON WEEK 1

NUMBER 3 – MARK FIELDS

Watching defensive players during the preseason isn’t all that exciting (especially considering the defenses tend to be bad throughout preseason), but Mark Fields is a player to watch for sure. People are pegging him to play a major role in the Chiefs secondary this year and we’ll get our first glimpse at him on Saturday.

Although the Chiefs acquired Morris Claiborne in free agency, cornerback is a position that can never have too many players. Seeing Fields go out there and play well in week one would be a nice sign and a lot of Chiefs fans would feel better about the situation.

Fields spent his college career playing for the reigning National Champion Clemson Tigers, so he knows how to win. Even though a lot of Chiefs fans already have Fields penciled in to make the 53-man roster, none of us have seen him play in an NFL jersey yet.

Will Fields catch our attention on Saturday? Hopefully he makes the most out of this situation and wows us with the second or third team secondary.
