Despite recent moves, the KC Chiefs certainly still have holes long-term at cornerback. There are still plenty of options out there who could fill the need.

Cornerback is a position that has been an area of weakness and in need of assistance for years continues to be a grouping the Kansas City Chiefs patchwork their way through.

During the 2017 season, the Chiefs made the surprising move to acquire Darrelle Revis for the stretch run, and that showed he really didn’t have much left. Last year, after realizing that David Amerson was as bad as advertised, the Chiefs moved to sign Orlando Scandrick. Now, Morris Claiborne, who will be available for the game against the Vikings after serving a four game suspension has joined the Chiefs.

However, while the position group that still lacks top-shelf talent is somewhat deep, it greatly lacks quality depth for the upcoming seasons.

Kendall Fuller, Bashaud Breeland and Claiborne are all free agents after the 2019 season. That leaves Charvarius Ward and a whole lot of unproven unknowns on the current roster under contract for next season.

If the Chiefs are intent on making Patrick Mahomes a very rich man and keeping Tyreek Hill around for seasons to come, the organization will need to find long-term affordable depth at the cornerback spot.

With that, the 2020 NFL Draft certainly appears to be a strong area to look and find a cornerback (or two). Who are some of my favorites for a team likely selecting near the end of the first round?
