FANTASY FOOTBALL TIGHT ENDS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 12 – VANCE MCDONALD

Vance McDonald looked like a big time bust after doing next to nothing in San Francisco. Since he’s moved to Pittsburgh, however, he’s been a serviceable TE1 in fantasy football.

Last year saw McDonald grab 50 catches for 610 yards and four touchdowns, the best year of his career. The 2019 season should be an even better one for McDonald, as the Steelers lost Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell this offseason.

Yes, they still have JuJu Smith-Schuster, but McDonald now becomes the second or third best weapon on the offense rather than a fourth or even fifth string. He’ll definitely get a lot more looks from Ben Roethlisberger as he heads into year three with the Steelers.

While Vance McDonald could be a frustrating option at times, he no longer has to compete with Jesse James for targets at his position. He’s the outright best tight end on his team now and that makes him a TE1 option for 2019.
