FANTASY FOOTBALL TIGHT ENDS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 14 – KYLE RUDOLPH

Kyle Rudolph being this low could be surprising to some, but there are a few reasons for that. For one, his numbers weren’t THAT great last year, as he had 64 receptions for 634 yards and four touchdowns.

The other big reason is that Minnesota drafted Irv Smith Jr. in the second round this year, which could limit Rudolph’s targets. While the Vikings extended Rudolph recently, they clearly liked what they saw in Smith and see him being a vital part of their offense moving forward.

While Rudolph is a talented tight end, I’ve never had much luck with him whenever he’s been my TE1. Not having a good quarterback played a big part in that and Kirk Cousins is certainly an upgrade over the likes of Christian Ponder and Joe Webb (remember him?).

Kyle Rudolph is someone you can take in the late rounds and could wind up being a decent starter, but don’t bank on it.
