FANTASY FOOTBALL TIGHT ENDS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 2 – ZACH ERTZ

Zach Ertz had always been one of the better tight ends, but he REALLY proved that statement in 2018. Ertz finished last season with 116 receptions (!!!!) for 1,163 yards and eight touchdowns and did so with two different quarterbacks.

The number to look at with Ertz was his reception total last year. Whether it was Carson Wentz or Nick Foles taking the snaps, they were clearly looking Ertz’s way and it’s not hard to see why.

With Foles off to Jacksonville, Wentz is the one and only quarterback in the City of Brotherly Love now. Wentz and Ertz gelled well in 2017 prior to Wentz’s injury and when Wentz did play last year, the two were often on the same page.

While Ertz could be considered the third best tight end on this list, he’s proven year after year that he’s effective while Kittle could end up being a one-year wonder type of guy. When in doubt, having Zach Ertz as your TE1 isn’t a bad thing at all, in fact it’s a GREAT situation to be in.

Target him as early as the third or fourth round.
