FANTASY FOOTBALL DEFENSES/SPECIAL TEAMS TO TARGET

Number 9 – Dallas Cowboys

2018 Fantasy Points Ranking: Tied-17th

2018 Points Allowed Ranking: 6th

The Cowboys have one of the best defenses in the league. However, they might be a better defense in real life than they are in fantasy football. They finished last season 17th in D/ST fantasy points.

Other interesting numbers to look at though is that they finished sixth and seventh respectively in points allowed and yards allowed.

Now, while fantasy and reality are two different things, it’s hard to have a defense this good outside of your top ten fantasy defenses even if they didn’t perform that good fantasy wise last year. Expect the fantasy ranking to trend more toward their reality ranking this year.

The Cowboys will roll out a defense very similar to last year’s unit plus some new faces like Robert Quinn and George Iloka. Fantasy players should be very comfortable rolling with this defense week in and week out this season, they should at minimum hold teams to a low point total and grab you a couple of sacks each week.
