FANTASY FOOTBALL DEFENSES/SPECIAL TEAMS TO TARGET

Number 14 – Washington Redskins

2018 Fantasy Points Ranking: 9th

2018 Points Allowed Ranking: 15th

The Redskins were around the middle of the pack in both points and yards allowed last season, but they were seventh as a team in sacks last season. That is a strong suit for this defense that they should be able to continue to build on.

Ryan Kerrigan will likely be good for double-digit sacks and if the rest of the defensive line can support him as they did last year. This should continue to be a big strength for Washington’s defense.

The Redskins will have a key new free agent addition on the defensive side of the ball this season, as well, in safety Landon Collins. Collins will be a lift to the secondary behind a solid defensive line that featured four players who had five or more sacks last season.

Washington also finished ninth overall in fantasy points for D/ST last season, so with the addition of Landon Collins, 14th should be a very safe ranking for them in 2019.
